Street Formation

Maria Konopnicka Street, named after the Polish poet and social activist, was formed in the early 20th century. Between 1911 and 1914, architects Józef Awin, Ferdynand Kassler, and Stanisław Olszewski developed the planning and construction of this street, creating a complex of residential buildings in the geometric modern style. This style is characterized by strict geometric forms and minimalist decor.
