Formation of the Street
Marka Vovchka Street is located in the Zaliznychnyi district of Lviv, connecting Horodotska Street with Olena Stepanivna Street. It was formed at the end of the 19th century and received its name in 1898 in honor of Polish Queen Jadwiga of Anjou. During the German occupation, the street was known as Hedwiggasse. In December 1944, it was renamed after the Ukrainian writer Marko Vovchok (Maria Vilinska).

The development of the street consists mainly of three- and four-story buildings constructed in the styles of Classicism, Viennese Secession, and Constructivism.
