Formation of the Street

Mykhailo Tugan-Baranovsky Street is located in the Lychakivskyi district of Lviv. Its history dates back to the 17th century when the Sacramentine Monastery was established here. The road was initially named Sacramentine Road, later becoming Sacramentine Street. In 1944, it was renamed Chkalov Street, and since 1992, it has been named after Ukrainian economist Mykhailo Tugan-Baranovsky.
