Formation of the Street
Khotynska Street is located in the Zaliznychnyi district of Lviv, in the Pryvokzalna area. It was laid out in 1907 and named in honor of the Battle of Khotyn in 1621. Over different periods, the street bore names such as Khotsimska and Fedorovychgasse. The current name, Khotynska, was assigned in 1946. The street connects Horodotska and Sydora Holubovycha streets. Its buildings feature styles like Viennese Secession and Constructivism. Several buildings, including No. 6, are listed as local architectural monuments.

Building No. 6 on Khotynska Street is a three-story townhouse constructed between 1907 and 1908 by the architectural bureau of Ivan Levynskyi. The building is designed in the Viennese Secession style, characterized by its decorative elements. Initially, it housed the IX Humanities Gymnasium named after Jan Kochanowski. Since 2010, the building has been home to the Lviv Art Lyceum affiliated with the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
