Residential Building

Formation of the Street

Piskova Street is located in the Lychakivskyi district of Lviv. It was established before 1871 and was initially named Lonszanivka, as it led to the estate of merchant François Longchamp de Berier. In 1871, the street was renamed Piskova due to the presence of sand quarries on the slopes of the Znesinnia Hills, the sand from which was used for construction and household needs. During the German occupation in 1943, the street was renamed Sandberggasse, but in July 1944, the previous name—Piskova—was restored. In 2019, a major renovation of the street was completed, during which engineering networks were replaced and new road surfaces were installed.
