A special candlelit concert dedicated to women composers took place at the Lviv Organ Hall, celebrating musical voices that are increasingly reclaiming their place on concert stages around the world.
Performed by Lviv Organ Hall soloists, violinist Adrian Bodnar and pianist Olha Striletska, the program featured works by Lili Boulanger, Amy Beach, Amanda Maier, Rita Strohl, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Clara Schumann. Each composition revealed a unique story filled with emotion, sensitivity, and artistic individuality.
The intimate atmosphere of the hall, the warm glow of candlelight, and the outstanding performances created a memorable evening, allowing audiences to rediscover the legacy of remarkable composers whose contributions to music are gaining long-overdue recognition.
The concert was held within the framework of the international project “Art Nouveau: A New Utopia. How the Past Can Be a Bridge to a Sustainable Future,” which connects Lviv with European cities through the shared heritage of the Art Nouveau movement.
We sincerely thank the performers, organizers, and all attendees who joined us for this inspiring evening filled with music, light, and unforgettable emotions.
