“Heritage Bureau” announces enrollment for a 5-day intensive course to be held on 1–5 December, dedicated to the restoration of an early 20th-century wooden gate.
Under the guidance of restorer and PhD, assistant at the Department of Architectural Environment Design of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Maksym Chornyi, participants will work directly on a historic object and learn key conservation and restoration techniques.
The course program includes:
• cleaning and removal of foreign elements
• mechanical and chemical removal of overpaint
• biocidal and fire-retardant treatment
• supplementation of damaged fragments
• strengthening of structural elements and filling of cracks
Participation requirements:
• age 18+
• priority for students and graduates of restoration and art-related fields
• limited number of places
• certificate upon completion

Results announced on 27–28 November.
